President’s Message
I hope you have all noticed the smart new Golf Club sign. I am sure you will agree that this is a great improvement on the previous version and provides clear information for both newcomers and visitors to our course. It is sponsored by a local business and we thank all those involved for their support and generosity.
It is hoped this is the first of many such sponsorship opportunities at our club and members are urged to let the Secretary know of any local businesses who would welcome the opportunity to advertise on tee boxes throughout the course.
On Saturday 2nd April, myself and Sue together with both your Captain and Lady Captain attended the drive in for the new Captains at our neighbouring club in Chestfield. I am pleased to report that the friendship between our two clubs continues and we all look forward to club matches in the months ahead.
Earlier that same day I enjoyed the Ladies Coffee Morning which I am pleased to report was very well supported. It was good to meet the 3 Guide Dogs and their owners at the club to remind us of the excellent work these incredible animals do. They served as a welcome reminder of the Lady Captain’s charity for this year and encouraged us all to put our hands in our pockets to contribute.
Now the clocks have gone forward and the weather hopefully warms up I wish you all happy golfing.
